Pressure Treated Decking

Maintenance

High maintenance to avoid splintering, checking, fading, or becoming porous and soft it is necessary to clean and seal on a yearly basis. Without the wood will retain blemishes and stains

Fade and Stain Resistant

Color fading will occur over time due to UV Rays. Leaves and debris can stain if the deck is not well maintained.

Moisture and Insect Resistant

Since this type of decking material is made from natural wood, it will inevitably splinter with time. Pressure Treated Wood can experience checking, a process where wood begins to dry out and split apart due to exposure to alternate cycles of wetting and drying. Overtime it will be suspect to insect damage.
